Our Staff

NORTHERN DIAGNOSTIC PATHOLOGY, established in 1963, is staffed by owner Julia E. Mooney, M.D., Board Certified Anatomic and Clinical pathologist, associate pathologist Ronald G. England, D.O., and Beth A. Picard, Practice Administrator and Director of Marketing.

Dr. Julia Mooney

Dr. Julia Mooney completed a fellowship in oncological surgical pathology at the renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She has been active in the Redding community, both professionally and personally, since she arrived here in 1995. She is Chairman of the Pathology Department and Laboratory Director at Shasta Regional Medical Center, as well as being Director of Transfusion Services, Director of the Blood Conservation Program, and a member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee. She is a committed supporter of the American Cancer Society.

Dr. Ronald England

Dr. Ronald England joined the practice in June, 2008, after working as an anatomic and clinical pathologist in Redding for three years, and was associated with Mercy Medical Center in Redding and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Red Bluff. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, with a fellowship in surgical pathology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He enjoys family time with his wife and child, loves to play golf, and is a violinist.

Beth Picard

Beth Picard, Practice Administrator and Director of Marketing, with a degree in Business, has been affiliated with Northern Diagnostic Pathology for eighteen years. She provides consistently professional guidance to the physicians, office, and laboratory staff. Beth is dedicated to fighting breast cancer as an active participant in "Think Pink", supported in her efforts by "Think Pink" sponsorship of the pathology practice.
